It is with great sadness to learn that Hedy Epstein, a dear friend of Palestine, is gravely ill. All of us at Playgrounds for Palestine extend love and warmth to Hedy and her family. blog_May 2016_Hedy Epstein Memorial

PfP was approached by Hedy’s closest friends who would like to dedicate a playground in celebration of Hedy’s life. Below is the text we were asked to post from her friends:

Hedy left us on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

Several of us, along with Playgrounds for Palestine, are working on a children’s playground dedicated to the life and legacy of this amazing woman.

The playground in Aisira Al-Shamaliya is under construction and will be dedicated to the life and activism of Hedy in July of this year.

If you are able to do so, please donate any amount to help with this playground where some Palestinian children can enjoy a few hours of escape from the violence that has surrounded them for their entire lives.

If you can donate, please indicate your gift is for Hedy’s playground.
