Playgrounds for Palestine is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in Pennsylvania, USA.  It was established in 2001 by Susan Abulhawa as a measure to uphold the Right to Play, enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

“Just two days after some of us returned from a trip to the Holy Land, we saw a full page article in a national newspaper about Susan and her work for Playgrounds for Palestine. We got in touch and many months later, after much hard work, the UK branch of Playgrounds for Palestine was born! All of us are committed to helping children experience the joys of childhood. All of us believe that together we can make a difference, however small, to children’s lives.
